Songwriters often use a traditional or common turn of phrase to make a song sound catchy and familiar...Chloe does this very nicely with the phrase "once upon a time." Ketty from Brunswick, Maine submitted these fun song lyrics, plus the sheet music for the tune. I love how the music for the alligator moves steadily along, but the hippo moves so slowly...all those long half and whole notes. And then the music gets really fast when she sings "there's a mass of you." If I was about to tell a gigantic hippo I thought he was overweight, I'd sing it fast too...and run!
