Katie from Sale, in Cheshire, England sent in this song. I think we've all felt this way sometimes...like maybe no-one else out there *gets* us...I know I certainly have. Katie writes: "I'm my own type of person, my own type of girl." Sometimes, you just have to stand up for yourself, which is exactly what this song does. I love the opening line of the chorus: "I don't need no-one to tell me I can't sing." That's right...sing it Katie!

like you get one voice, it's yours, and I think at 10 years old, to have found your own song, is a real gift.
I liked your song.
It shows determination, and strength.
I remember some words to an old song but can't place it...it goes,
"sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong, don't worry if it's not good enough for anyone else to hear...just sing, sing a song"...

What great lyrics! This song reminded me of a time in elementary school chorus when a girl in my class (the one who was always making fun of people) made fun of my singing. I felt so bad that I sang at whisper-volume for years. Then one day in high school my teacher made me sing a solo--and sing it LOUD--at one of our concerts. That gave me the courage to keep singing, and I've been doing it ever since! I think your song will encourage others to do the same. Thanks!
